BREAKING: 19th Annual Buttercup Festival postponed due to weather worries

Nolensville’s annual Buttercup Festival has been postponed for a week due to severe weather concerns.

Heather Bell, of the Nolensville Toy Shop, made the announcement this afternoon.

“Due to the possibility of severe weather this Saturday, the Historic Nolensville District Buttercup Festival is being postponed one week. The event will now be held April 21st, 2018 from 10:00-5:00.  The decision was made today by the committee out of concern for the safety of our visitors and vendors.”

The current forecast by the National Weather Service for Nolensville is as follows:

Saturday
Showers and thunderstorms. High near 72. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Saturday Night
Showers and thunderstorms. Low around 50. South wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west southwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

This free, one-day event regularly attracts thousands to Nolensville‘s Historic District, where more than 100 artisan vendors will be lined up from Old Clovercroft Road to the Nolensville Feed Mill, food vendors will be on hand, and shops in the Historic District will offer special sales throughout the day.

The event also offers live music from local musicians and the “Little Miss Buttercup” pageant.
