3 a.m. carjacking reported in the parking lot of Franklin Walmart

FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information on two men who stole a car at gunpoint overnight in a Walmart parking lot.

Police in Franklin are investigating the early morning carjacking that occurred shortly before 3 a.m. The victim was parked close to the front of the Mallory Lane Walmart, waiting for his wife who was inside the store. Two black male suspects approached, both suspects produced handguns and ordered the victim to get out. The suspects then fled in the victim’s vehicle.

The stolen vehicle is a 2017 maroon Honda Accord with a Tennessee license plate: 1H87A6. The suspects are described only as black males in their late teens to early twenties. They were wearing all black, with hoodies pulled tightly around their heads in an attempt to conceal their faces.
