Will Collins, son of Jay and Angie Collins, is a senior at Brentwood Academy and a member of the Varsity Football Team.
He plays the positions of center and defensive tackle.
Collins said that before he became serious about the sport, he was always playing flag football or two hand touch with friends in elementary school. In fifth grade, he joined the Brentwood Blaze because he wanted to play standard football.
When asked what inspires him to continue training and competing he said, “My teammates inspire me the most. Football is a team sport and it can’t be won with just one player. I know my teammates work for me so I do the same because I don’t want to let them down.”
Collins’ father is his biggest inspiration and role model.
“He has shown me how to work hard and what it means to be a man of God,” he said. “He has also taught me how to be humble.”
When he’s not on the football field, Collins enjoys hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s, and hanging out with friends.
After finishing at BA this year, he plans to go to college to pursue a career as a veterinarian.
