Patrick Doyle, son of Mike and Kate Doyle, is a senior at Brentwood Academy and a member of the Varsity Football Team.
He is a punter for the team and said that hitting a 65-yard punt in a scrimmage has been one of his biggest highlights.
He said that his introduction to football wasn’t exactly a smooth ride.
“My parents actually dragged me kicking and screaming to football practice a few days before the season started and up until this year, I’ve been backup to a lot of great kickers,” he said. “This year, I earned a spot and it’s been an incredible experience playing on this team.”
When asked what inspires him to continue training and competing he said, “I’ve always wanted to be a part of something great and now that I’ve been put into a spot where I can be, I no longer want to do my job, but excel in it as well.”
One of his biggest role models is his Uncle Joe. He said he admires how he lives his life and how much he cares. “He comes over all the time just to check in on me or challenge me in arm wrestling or a 5k,” he said. “I always lose,” he added jokingly.
Outside of football, Doyle enjoys playing guitar, listening to music, playing video games, playing soccer, eating, and hanging out with friends.
After graduating from BA, he plans to go to college to pursue a degree in Business or Biology.
