Elizabeth Heckman, daughter of Amy and Hal Conditt, is a junior at Brentwood Academy and a member of the Varsity Cross Country Team.
She started running in seventh grade after watching her sister and realizing it was something she wanted to try. She said she quickly grew to love it and became close with others on the team.
She said that winning State this year and having her mom there to cheer her on were two highlights of the season.
Her biggest role models are her mother and sister. She said that they are always supporting and encouraging her on and off the track.
Outside of running, she enjoys horseback riding and being a part of the BA Ambassadors. BA Ambassadors help organize and plan certain events and act as a connector between students and faculty.
Her favorite class at Brentwood Academy is History with Mr. Brown. She said it’s “different than other history classes.”
After graduating, she plans to continue her running career in college and pursue a degree in Psychology.
