Shelby Breece, daughter of Aimee and Paul Breece, is a senior at Brentwood High School and the captain of the Varsity Cheerleading Team.
Breece said the best part of the season was making new friends and fun memories.
Breece became interested in cheering in middle school as a way to encourage her brother, who was a wrestler for the school.
When asked what inspires her to train and compete Breece said, “My friends and family inspire me to work hard and do my best.”
Her biggest role model is her mother, Aimee. “She is kind and caring but also brave and strong,” she said.
BHS Cheer Coach Kim Marek said of Breece, “She is an exceptional leader, excellent student, and has a kind heart for all that know her!”
Outside of cheering, she enjoys volunteering at her home church.
After graduating from BHS this year, she plans to attend Union University to pursue a career as a social worker.
