Carleton O’Neil, son of Debi and Michael O’Neil, is a freshman at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Kerr & Co. Realty Athlete of the Week.
He is a member of the Boys Soccer Team and plays the position of goal keeper. This season, he had seven shutouts and 12 saves in a 1-0 game against Brentwood High School In the district semi-finals.
When asked what inspires him to continue training and competing he said, “Wanting to be the best I can be for my team.”
RHS Soccer’s Coach Harris said of O’Neil, “Carleton has been incredible this year as goal keeper for the JV Raptors… Carleton, along with the Raptor defense, have recorded an incredible seven shutouts this season.”
O’Neil describes himself as smart, funny, hardworking and social. When he’s not on the field, he likes playing video games, listening to music and spending time with friends.
Although he is only a freshman, he said he hopes to go to college, possibly continue playing soccer, and go into either the medical or engineering field.
