Brentwood crime is noticeably low in last week of February

Criminal activity in Brentwood this week was noticeably low. Chalk it up to the Spring-like weather or simply a week full of honest citizens, but either way, only three crimes were reported for the entire week.

One was a delayed report of a theft which took place in January, in which someone stole a license plate and a drill from the victim’s desk drawer. The crime took place on Westgate Circle sometime between noon on Jan. 26 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 28. Police have no suspects.

Police arrested a suspect after an iPad was stolen from a residence on Governor’s Way on Thursday night.

Finally, a woman reported a package and its contents were stolen from her mailbox on River Oaks Court sometime Friday evening. Police have no suspects.

There were no reports of residential or business burglary, vandalism, robbery, motor vehicle theft or theft from a motor vehicle.
