Brentwood Police make arrest in Extended Stay hotel death investigation

The Brentwood Police Department announced this morning that an arrest has been made in the homicide investigation conducted at the Extended Stay America hotel this past Saturday.

After a weekend-long investigation, a warrant charging Ms. Shannon Richardson, age 39, with criminal homicide was obtained by Brentwood Police Detectives. The victim has been identified as Mr. Reuben Dunigan of Antioch. Dunigan was found dead in his Extended Stay Hotel room on Saturday morning, with an autopsy confirming that he was the victim of a homicide. He was 40 years old.

Richardson was located in Spartanburg, South Carolina early on Monday morning and was taken into custody by Spartanburg authorities. Brentwood Detectives are currently in South Carolina and are continuing to investigate the incident. Richardson was waived extradition and will be transported to the Williamson County Jail in the next few days.
