Brentwood Kroger robbery suspect sought by police

Brentwood police are on the lookout for a suspect in a Monday night robbery.

At about 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, Brentwood police responded to the Kroger Pharmacy at 210 Franklin Road on a report of a robbery. Responding officers discovered that an armed male suspect had fled on foot with an unknown quantity of prescription medication.

An investigation determined that the suspect approached a clerk from behind as the clerk was closing the pharmacy. The suspect, who was wearing a surgical mask and armed with a handgun, forced the clerk to open a safe containing multiple prescription medications. After removing prescription drugs from the safe the suspect fled the store on foot.

The suspect remains at large. He is described as a black male, approximately 5’7” to 5’10” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, jeans, a blue cap and white surgical mask.
