Brentwood volleyball statebound for 2018, Ravenwood falls to Station Camp

The Brentwood Lady Bruins volleyball team is statebound after taking down Lebanon 3-1 in the substate round at home Thursday.

The team won the first two sets 25-22 and 25-18 before Lebanon got the third set 25-23. Brentwood finished things out in the fourth, 25-15.

Shaye Eggleston led the team with 17 kills in the victory, while Mary Oldham had 14.

Tori Carpenter had 46 assists, and Andrea Aceveda had 23 digs. Morgan Carter chipped in with 7 kills and 16 digs, while Sydney Rexford had 12 digs.

The Lady Bruins will now be Murfreesboro bound to compete in the Class AAA state tournament, which starts next Tuesday; opponent and location to be announced.

Brentwood took the region Wednesday night in a 3-1 win over Ravenwood.

Speaking of Ravenwood, despite being up 2-0 early, they fell 3-2 on the road at Station Camp in the sectionals.
