Concert Chorale of Nashville to hold benefit concert at Brenthaven Church

Brentwood’s Brenthaven Church will be filled with classical choral music on Sunday, March 18, to benefit a local charity.

At 3 p.m. on that day the Concert Chorale of Nashville will be there to sing both classical and contemporary choral music to raise money for Safe Haven Family Shelter, an organization that houses entire families in need.

“The Concert Chorale is enjoying its 20th year this year,” Concert Chorale of Nashville Artistic Director Sherry Hill Kelly said.  “We continue to try to do the very best and accessible choral music, but we also combine it with music with a mission because all of our concerts are for charity.”

While the concert at Brenthaven Church is free, offering plates will be passed around to give attendees a chance to show their appreciation and help out Safe Haven Family Shelter as well.

The Concert Chorale of Nashville is made up of 30 people and is an audition-based chamber choir.

“We meet weekly and would love to have other singers who are interested to audition and join us,” Kelly said.

The Concert Chorale has held benefit concerts for many organizations in the past, including Sacred Sparks and, every Christmas Season, Room In The Inn.

Whatever the charity and whatever the venue, though, music lovers can expect to get the same high quality concert experience from the Concert Chorale.

“I would encourage people to come and support the charity and enjoy an afternoon of beautiful music,” Kelly said.

Brenthaven Church is located at 516 Franklin Road in Brentwood.
