County murder unsolved for six years now

By ZACH HARMUTH

The only murder this year in Williamson County had a suspect in custody within a week.

So in this low-crime area, any unsolved murder stands out.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation of a six-year-old murder mystery: who killed Roger Fox and why?

September marked the anniversary of the Fernvale man’s death. The 61-year-old was found shot to death at his home on Old Harding Road in 2010.

Investigators know Mr. Fox was a private person who lived alone. He didn’t have a job, had a small circle of friends and was known in the music industry. Guns and illegal drugs were found inside his home so robbery is not believed to be the motive in his death.

If you have any information about the murder of Roger Fox, call the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division at 615-790-5554 and ask for Detective Sergeant Kevin Sheldon or call Crime Stoppers at 615-794-4000. You may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
