CRIME REPORT: Brentwood Police investigate thefts of two rental trucks and a bicycle

The Brentwood Police Department suspects that criminals stole two cars from rental companies, as well as a bicycle.

The Police Department’s weekly crime analysis reports that someone rented a Chevrolet Suburban between October 10 and October 22 and failed to return it. The suspect is identified in the rental agreement.

Police also suspect that someone stole a rented box truck from the Cool Springs area on November 6 or 7. The box truck was parked outside the a business with the keys still inside. Police didn’t identify a suspect.

A resident reported a stolen bicycle from Smith Park, which was taken from a parking lot on November 2.

Over the past week there were no business burglaries, residential burglaries, vandalism or robberies.

The analysis reports that residents reported a stolen phone at a department store in the Cool Springs area and stolen prescription medication from a hotel room in the Maryland Farms area.

One person is suspected of stealing headphones from an electronics store near Cool Springs. The suspected juvenile shoplifter was identified and returned the headphones. Someone else is accused of stealing cigarettes and lighters from a gas station on Franklin Road.
