CRIME REPORT: Brentwood sees carjacking, stolen vehicles, ATM robbery in one week

Between the violent carjacking on Wilson Pike and an incident Wednesday night which left one officer injured, it was a busy week for crime in Brentwood.

Here’s a look at what happened.

The Brentwood Police Department reported four motor vehicle thefts, four instances of theft from motor vehicles, two robberies, and six instances of general theft.

Someone stole a Ford F-150 from a driveway on Mansion Drive Saturday morning after the keys were left inside. Police have no suspects, but the vehicle was recovered in Clarksville.

Another vehicle was taken from a driveway Monday afternoon on Milbrook Road when the keys were left inside. Police say the unknown suspect fled when a Brentwood officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

On Monday night, police recovered a 1998 Mercury Marquis reported stolen from Nashville. The vehicle was found crashed off the road into a tree line on I-65 North at Concord Road. Police have no suspects.

Someone stole a 2015 BMW X5 from a driveway on Country Club Drive early Tuesday morning. Police have no suspects, but the vehicle was recovered in Nashville.

Two purses with their contents were stolen from vehicles on Maryland Way Friday afternoon. An unknown suspect in a white SUV broke the windows of the two vehicles and entered.

Another purse with its contents was stolen from a vehicle Sunday morning on Woodward Court. There was no forced entry, and police have no suspects.

A theft spree occurred Monday afternoon when multiple vehicles were entered on High Lea Road and Landmark Place. Currency, gift cards and fishing equipment were taken from the vehicles, with no forced entry. Police arrested three suspects in connection with the thefts.

Someone stole a purse with its contents from a vehicle on Bouchaine Pass Monday when a front driver’s side window was broken. Police have no suspects.

On Thursday evening, a woman was robbed at gunpoint while making a withdrawal from an ATM on Moore’s Lane. The suspect has been described as a 5’9” thin, light-skinned black male in his 20s. Police say he was wearing a gray hoodie, jeans and a white bandana over his face.

In the early hours of Monday morning, a victim was carjacked while fueling her vehicle on Wilson Pike. The suspect is described as a black male teenager with a thin build, wearing a dark jacket with his hood up. The vehicle was recovered in Nashville.

Someone stole clothing, jewelry, household items and a book from Pear Tree Avenue on Franklin Avenue Thursday afternoon. The suspect is described as a heavyset white female carrying a large bag.

Copper piping was stolen from four homes under construction between Thursday night and Friday morning. No force was used in the theft, and police have no suspects.

Two suspects were arrested Monday afternoon after shoplifting grocery items from a Kroger on Franklin Road.

Between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning, someone took a bicycle from a carport on Lipscomb Drive. The bicycle was recovered at 8109 Concord Road, the John P. Holt Brentwood Library. Police have no suspects.

A housekeeper has been listed as a suspect after jewelry was stolen from a dining room table at a home on Beech Grove Road Wednesday afternoon.

Sometime between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday afternoon, someone shoplifted alcoholic beverages from Grapevine Wine & Spirits on Moores Lane. The suspect has been described as a white male with glasses, dark hair and a beard, wearing a black T-shirt and khakis.

There were no reported instances of business burglary, residential burglary or vandalism this week.
