Disagreements may end in hurt feelings, but they don’t usually end in motor vehicle theft.
According to the Brentwood Police Department’s weekly crime report, a vehicle was stolen from a driveway on Franklin Road after the victim and suspect got into an argument. Police say the 2012 Ford Fusion was later recovered in Nashville, and charges are pending for the identified suspect.
Brentwood Police also reported a leaf blower stolen from an open trailer and a license plate taken with no forced entry from a vehicle. Even the City of Brentwood was listed as a victim this week, after someone spray painted graffiti on the base of a water tower located on Robert E. Lee Lane.
Someone’s car was vandalized Wednesday night on Centerview Drive when an acquaintance reportedly poured a substance on the vehicle windows.
Another vehicle was vandalized Wednesday morning when the hood of a vehicle on Mallory Lane was scratched with a sharp object. Police have no suspects.
Police reported three instances of general theft this week, all of which involved shoplifting.
Someone stole an iPhone from the Sprint Floor on Mallory Lane Thursday night. The report shows the suspect took the phone from the sales floor. Police have described the suspect as a white male in his 40s, wearing a black jacket, a white hat and jeans.
Two people reportedly stole birthday party supplies from the Party City store on Galleria Boulevard Friday night. Police have described the suspects as a black man standing at 5’7” and a 5’10” black woman. The two left in a black sedan.
On Saturday, police arrested a suspect for shoplifting razors, jewelry and headphones from the TJ Maxx on Franklin Road.
