Police suspect that someone stole copper pipe from five different homes under construction in Brentwood during the past week.

In its weekly crime analysis, the Brentwood Police Department reported that copper pipes were cut from the HVAC systems of several different homes. The department didn’t identify any suspects.

Police arrested three people for shoplifting in Brentwood this week. The Police Department suspects they took clothes and tools from several different stores.

Assistant Police Chief Tommy Walsh previously said the Department is making an effort to reduce shoplifting in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

The Department didn’t report any robberies, thefts from motor vehicles, car thefts, residential burglaries or business burglaries. The only other crime police reported was a case of vandalism where someone slashed a car tire.

It was the first time since May that the Department didn’t report any thefts from motor vehicles.
