CRIME REPORT: Two car burglaries, tent taken from REI

Two unlocked cars were burglarized this past week in Brentwood, according to the latest crime report provided by the Brentwood Police Department.

The first incident occurred between the evening of Sunday, Jan. 28 and the morning of Monday, Jan. 29 on the 9700 block of Valley Springs Drive. A backpack was stolen from an unlocked car at that address. There are no suspects, according to the report.

The other car burglary occurred between just after noon on Thursday, Feb. 1 and 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2. A purse was taken from an unlocked car parked outside the building at Hill Center Brentwood that houses Chipotle and Starbucks. Police have no suspects in this crime.

Two other thefts are the only additional items that comprise this latest crime report.

The first case took place at a party late on the night of Friday, Feb. 2. Shoes and multiple purses were stolen from the party, which took place on the 1800 block of Grey Pointe Drive. Police have no suspects.

The final crime on the report involves a theft from Brentwood REI store on the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 7. Someone made off with a tent from the store.

The crime report lists a black male in his 30s, approximately 6-feet tall and weighing around 250 pounds. The suspect was reported to be wearing a jacket, a hat and white shoes. He left in a silver car.
