The frigid week preceding Jan. 19 was a relatively light one as far as crime is concerned, according to the latest crime report provided by the Brentwood Police Department.
The report includes only three crimes, all of them thefts or attempted thefts. Two of those crimes led to arrests.
The first incident occurred at the Pinnacle Bank on Mallory Lane on Friday, Jan. 12 (this report includes crimes from Jan. 12 through Jan. 19). A suspect attempted to cash a counterfeit check at the bank. That suspect was arrested by Brentwood Police.
The next crime also took place on Jan. 12. Around 9 p.m., Brentwood Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Franklin Road and Chadwick Drive. During that stop they discovered numerous items in the vehicle that had been reported stolen from Florida. Those include multiple Florida-issued driver’s licenses, debit cards, credit cards and gift cards. A suspect was arrested in connection to this incident.
Finally, a car was broken into on Sunday, Jan. 14 at the Brentwood Civitan Ball Park on Concord Road. A window of a car was smashed and a purse was stolen in this incident. Police have identified no suspects for this theft.
