The Brentwood Police Department recovered a stolen car and police arrested a shoplifter in the week preceding Jan. 4, according to the latest crime report provided by the Brentwood Police Department.

The stolen car was recovered on Wednesday, Dec. 28 on Wilson Pike Circle, near its intersection with Old Hickory Boulevard.

Police conducted a traffic stop and discovered that the 1997 GMC Jimmy they had stopped had been reported stolen in Nashville.

Brentwood police officers arrested the suspect and later released him into the custody of the Metro Nashville Police Department.

The second instance occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, Jan. 2 and involved stolen game controllers. A suspect was arrested in connection to that theft.

The last item in this light week for crime in Brentwood reportedly took place at the Extended Stay on Church Street between Tuesday night Jan. 2 and Wednesday morning Jan. 3. Wheel center caps were stolen from a car in the parking lot. There are no suspects in this case.
