CRIME REPORT: More burglaries from cars

By MATT BLOIS

The Brentwood Police Department reported few crimes last week, but there were eight thefts from cars.

Between August 11 and August 16 thieves broke into cars parked at Crockett Park, the Williamson County Indoor Sports Complex, Owl Creek Park and several homes last week. Almost all of the cars had broken windows.

Car owners reported that they mostly lost purses. In one case a thief stole a laptop, backpack and a guitar.

The only other crimes reported in the Brentwood Police Department’s weekly crime analysis were two cases of shoplifting and a phone scam. Three people in a gold GM SUV stole a generator from a parking lot at a business on Westgate Circle.

The department reported no business burglaries, residential burglaries, car thefts, vandalism or robberies.
