CRIME REPORT: One beer thief caught, another one gets away

Brentwood police arrested someone suspected of stealing beer from a grocery store on Tuesday afternoon. However, another thief who is suspected of stealing beer from a convenience store got away in a red truck.

Police also arrested someone accused of using a brick to smash the glass door of a home near Country Club Drive on Sunday. Someone also threw a brick at the front door of the same house on Monday.

There were several thefts from parked cars over the last week. The police report listed nine different thefts from several locations including Owl Creek Park, Crockett Park and along Franklin Road.

In most cases, the thieves took purses or wallets. Some of the cars did have broken windows, but most of the cars showed no forced entry. No one was arrested.

Someone stole a welder from a construction site on Wilson Pike Circle and a few pieces of jewelry went missing from a home on Forest Trail.
