CRIME REPORT: Suspect tried to go to church, foiled by locked door

Someone possibly eager to get to church tried to break into the Holy Family Catholic Church late Sunday night.

That person couldn’t open the locked door though, and nothing was taken, according to the Brentwood Police Department crime report. Hopefully, that person will show up to church on time next week and admit what they did during confession.

Last week in Brentwood, there were no residential burglaries, no motor vehicles thefts, no thefts from a motor vehicle. There was no vandalism or robbery. A carjacking reported by the Home Page Earlier this week happened just outside of city limits. Metro Nashville Police are investigating that crime.

Some items went missing last week. Cash disappeared from a drawer in a house on Innisbrook Lane, and more cash disappeared from a safe in the basement of a home on Splitrail Drive. Two residents lost keys and a wallet on Heritage Way, and another resident on Haber Drive lost some jewelry.
