The Brentwood Police reported that people used the internet to steal items from their actual retail location over the last several weeks.

In one case someone fraudulently purchased a vehicle from a dealership online. The suspect used someone else’s identity to buy the car. After the transaction was approved, the suspect sent someone to pick up the car. Later, the dealership realized that the purchase was a fraud.

Someone used a similar scam to steal a treadmill from a retailer in Brentwood. They used a stolen credit card to buy the treadmill online and then two men picked it up. Later, the store learned that the purchase was made with a stolen card.

Additionally, two cars were broken into at Crockett Park last weekend. Another car was broken into near Lipscomb Elementary School. Someone also broke into a car on Plymouth Drive.

Someone broke into a business on Frierson Street, but did not take anything. A guitar was stolen from a store on Galleria Boulevard.
