CRIME REPORT: Thefts from cars continue

By MATT BLOIS

The Brentwood Police Department reported nine car break-ins in this week’s crime analysis.

In three cases windows were broken to get access to the car, but six other cars were unlocked.

Two purses, two laptops, knives, a phone and a handgun were taken. In eight cases the police didn’t identify any suspects. In one other case they determined that the suspect drives a white van.

In addition, police arrested three people suspected of shoplifting from a clothing store on Franklin Road. Another person is suspected of stealing clothing from the same store but wasn’t arrested.

One person had a purse stolen while they were at a bank in Brentwood. Someone at a senior living center lost a wallet from their room.
