Early voting for the May 7 Brentwood Municipal Election concluded yesterday with ballots already cast by 9% of registered voters.

Williamson County Election Administrator Chad Gray said the final day of early voting saw more than 400 ballots cast, the largest turnout in the two-week period. The percentage of early voting turnout exceeds the past two municipal elections of 8.3% in 2017 and 8.9% in 2015, according to a press release.

“We had a strong finish to early voting on the last day with just over 400 ballots cast,” Gray said. “Now voters have one more opportunity to have their voices heard by casting a ballot on Election Day, May 7.”

Election Day will have nine polling locations, which voters can find on voter identification cards or online.

Nine candidates seek election to the Brentwood City Commission’s four open seats, and those elected will serve four year terms.
