Columbia State Community College staff, students and community members are invited to attend a best wishes reception in honor of Dr. Shanna Jackson, Columbia State associate vice president of the Williamson Campus, as she prepares for her new role as president of Nashville State Community College.
Jackson, who has been at Columbia State since 2010 on March 13 was named president of Nashville State by the Tennessee Board of Regents. She will take over there on June 1.
The public reception is 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2 in the Community Room, 2nd floor, Administration Building of the Williamson Campus, 1228 Liberty Pike, Franklin, TN.
Jackson helped the school develop and launch the new campus in east Franklin, which moved into the new buildings from a building just north of Franklin High School. Organizers of the reception say they want to honor Jackson for all the work she has done for Columbia State and the communities it serves.
