First Farmers bank opened its 22nd branch in Middle Tennessee last month at 5020 Harpeth Drive off Franklin Road in Brentwood.
The new branch is the bank’s fifth location in Williamson County, offering financial services ranging from personal and business banking, to mortgage lending, treasury management, commercial banking, and wealth management.
“The opening of our Brentwood location is another step in our expansion plan for Middle Tennessee,” said T. Randy Stevens, Chairman and CEO of First Farmers. “We look forward to serving the Brentwood community and delivering our brand of customer-centered banking.”
Michael A. Jones has joined the bank as Business Banking Relationship Manager, and Rachel Cooksey has been promoted to Branch Manager of the new Brentwood office.

Prior to that, he was the business banking and private client and wealth manager at US Bank after holding senior-level positions at National City Bank, Fifth Third Bank, and Citibank in Chicago. He was selected to be part of Fifth Third Bank’s Emerging Leaders Group and served as a Business Banking Mentor when working at both National City Bank and US Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University in Business Administration and Management.
Brentwood branch manager Rachel Cooksey will oversee daily operations and the growth strategy of the branch in addition to working with clients to design banking options and advise customers on financing. Cooksey joined First Farmers in April 2017 as an assistant branch manager. Prior to that she had owned an Allstate insurance agency and served as an assistant branch manager for Regions Bank.
“Michael and Rachel represent First Farmers’ commitment to building the best banking team in the business,” Stevens said. Their expertise and personalized service will be an invaluable asset to our customers at the new office in Brentwood.”
