It’ll be a homecoming for Brentwood Academy graduate Jessie Brown.
The collegiate softball player and rising sophomore outfielder will be transferring to Lipscomb University to play out her remaining three years of eligibility.
“Looking forward to coaching this girl,” Lipscomb head softball coach Kristin Ryman said of Brown’s signing on Twitter. “[She is a] quality player, quality person/teammate!”
The Franklin native spent her freshman year at North Alabama before making the move back to middle Tennessee.
Brown is the daughter of BA softball coach Greg Brown and was a two-time all-state and three-time all-region player in high school. Her senior season saw the Lady Eagles made the 2018 D-II AA state playoffs.
She’ll face her old team next year, as UNA is a member of the Atlantic Sun with Lipscomb.
The Lady Bisons return to the softball diamond next spring after making the the NCAA Tournament this past May.
