Philip and Laura Beth Peters of Franklin and about 100 of their closest friends will be watching the TV game show Wheel of Fortune together on Monday, the first night of “Sweethearts Week” on the program.

They will be competing against two other couples to solve hangman-style puzzles and win once-in-a-lifetime vacations, new cars, and cash prizes.

The couple became contestants on the show after they attended a Wheelmobile event in Nashville.

“Philip and I auditioned as individuals but they liked us both and put us on Sweethearts week,” Laura Beth said. “I’m so glad they did because we were definitely better together!”

The Peters have been married since 2015 and have a son, Jacob, who is 16 months old.

Laura (Stubblefield) Peters is a 1999 graduate of Brentwood High School, with a business degree from University of Tennessee – Knoxville. She met Philip in her church, where they were youth leaders.

“We have a deep love of this community and Philip has been working in music management for True Artist Management  (Tobymac, Mandisa) for 16 years,” Laura Beth said. “Music Management is what brought him here to Nashville from Greensburg, Indiana. Philip graduated from Anderson University and received the distinguished alumni award last fall for the work he’s done through Restore Haiti  the non-profit he founded in 2005.”

Laura Beth co-hosts and produces the Steel Magnolias Podcast on all things Southern with her sister, Lainie Stubblefield. She is a Leadership Franklin graduate of the Class of 2015.
