Many people want to get a health checkup, but keep putting it off due to worries about cost or convenience.
On Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 5 and 6, those people — and anyone else concerned about their health — will have the opportunity to undergo a preventive care health screening at the FiftyForward Martin Center in Brentwood. The event lasts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
The event is a part of the ongoing Cigna Foundation Health Improvement Tour. At no charge, visitors will be able to have four health numbers measured: blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and Body Mass Index. There is no fasting required for these tests.
Additionally, professionals will be on hand to help visitors interpret their test results and answer any health-related questions they may have.
The FiftyForward Martin Center is a non-profit organization “committed to enriching the lives of active adults age 50 and older,” according to its website. The center is located at 960 Heritage Way in Brentwood.
