Hill Center interior traffic will be rerouted to accommodate work on Phase Two

Developers announced last week that traffic through Hill Center Brentwood will be rerouted temporarily, beginning today.

Hill Center’s Phase II construction is well under way.

Beginning Monday, March 4, barricades will be set up and the center’s east entrance to the parking garage will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic until March 22. The west entrance and entrance from Maryland Way will remain open. Sidewalk and pedestrian traffic barricades surrounding the construction along the street will remain until April 15.

traffic flow map is available at hillcenterbrentwood.com. Any changes to the timeline will be posted online.

Phase One has seen 237,828-square-feet of office, retail and restaurant space open at the corner of Maryland Way and Franklin Road.

This next phase will add 196,933 more square feet to the development.

An AC Hotel by Marriott will be built behind the current parking garage at the site. The 141-room, four-story hotel will be constructed adjacent to Maryland Way Park. A connection will be built to the park to allow easy access for guests, shoppers and workers at Hill Center Brentwood.

Phase Two also will add small retail spaces.
