In Cool Springs on Thursday afternoon, there was a grand opening to better health, a ribbon cutting to a more wholesome well-being.
That may be how the owners of The Holistic Connection would describe the celebration for the opening of their new business on General George Patton Drive, where they came together with family, friends and members of Williamson Inc. for the ceremonial ribbon cutting and refreshments.
The Holistic Connection, which was founded by Jake and Kate Ducey and Mike Solomon, sells CBD and hemp-extract products, natural and organic skincare, pet products and more to meet a growing demand for alternative wellness solutions.
“Mike, Kate and I have been dreaming of this project for quite some time now and it’s really rewarding,” Jake Ducey said. “It has been an incredible adventure to get to where we are today.
“We’ve really set out a place for people to come learn and also heal. We want to educate the community on what CBD and holistic health care is and how it might be able to change your lives. With everything going on right now, from the opioid epidemic and clinical depression at all-time highs, what better time to share with you guys a natural, wholesome solution to some of these issues that people are having.
It’s truly a blessing to see it all come together.”
Solomon, who is a licensed hemp grower and processor with an indoor hemp-growing facility in McMinnville, is creator of leading Middle Tennessee hemp company Tri-Star Medical. It is the flagship brand for The Holistic Connection and separates itself from competitors through its sustainable hemp farming, rigorous testing at every step of the process and seed-to-shelf guarantee, according to a press release about the company.
“We believe that nature gives you what you need and so we try to give holistic wellness options that have what nature intended for us to have,” Solomon said. “So that’s our main focus here, helping people in a natural way.”
CBD is widely recognized for its healing properties, from the treatment of muscle, joint and other physical injuries to anxiety and stress relief. The Holistic Connection staff offers free consultations to suggest products based on the symptom relief each individual seeks. Some products are even produced onsite in its state-of-the-art lab.
The Holistic Connectionwill keep the grand opening spirit going with an open house celebration Saturday from noon-7 p.m. at 1722 General George Patton Drive. All are invited for music, food and drinks.
