Home Builders Association honors long time local builders Carbine, Franks

The Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT) held their annual membership banquet on Thursday, December 13 at the JW Marriott in Nashville, honoring local builders including James Carbine, of Carbine and Associates, and Jimmy Franks of Tennessee Valley Homes.

The 2018 Builders First Source Installation and Awards Banquet drew over 500 attendees who broke the 2017 attendance record and helped the association celebrate the achievements of the past year by recognizing the outstanding service of their members.

Franks won the President’s Award, and Carbine was the Member-to-Member Award recipient (for builders’
membership patronage).

Other HBAMT members receiving awards included the following:

  • Frank Jones, Metro Carpets – Associate of the Year
  • David Crane, Crane Builders – Remodeler of the Year

Top local real estate agents were also awarded during the presentation of the Middle Tennessee Marketing Council’s (MTSMC) Annual Circle of Excellence Awards. Agents receiving awards were:

  • Lynn Harrison, Ole South Properties – Sales Person of the Year
  • Steve Webb, Ole South Properties – Rookie of the Year (presented to the first year sales agent who was most successful during a 12-month window prior to the awards banquet)
  • Christina James, Lennar – Sales Manager of the Year
  • Lynn Harrison, Ole South Properties – Most Units Closed in 2018 Award recipient
  • Glenn Street, Ole South Properties – Highest Dollar Volume Sold in 2018 Award recipient

For the third year in a row, the association inducted past members into the HBAMT Hall of Fame for their career achievements and service to the industry. This year’s inductees were:

  • William “Bill” Towe (1937-2012), builder, Imperial Development
  • Jess Dillon, associate member, The Tennessean
  • Keith Crowe, past Executive Officer, HBAMT

The Home Builders Association of Middle Tennessee (HBAMT) is a voluntary non-profit trade association dedicated to promoting the American dream of homeownership to all residents of Middle Tennessee.
