Longtime Oilers/Titans player Brad Hopkins will be featured at annual Steak and Burger Dinner

The 30th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner, benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, is coming up at 5 p.m. May 9 in Liberty Hall at the Factory of Franklin.

This milestone event will be led by special guest speaker Brad Hopkins. With the 13th pick of the 1993 NFL draft, the Houston Oilers chose Brad Hopkins from the University of Illinois. During the next 13 seasons, Brad established himself as one of the most dominant offensive linemen in the NFL, making a visit to Super Bowl XXXIV and Pro Bowl visits in 2001 and 2003 for the Tennessee Titans.

Hopkins has gone on to use his Communications degree from the University of Illinois to host a nationally syndicated Sirius radio program and television and radio programs in Nashville, Tennessee.

Brad will share his winning strategies for team communication, creative ways to be productive, and more.

Additionally, at this year’s Steak & Burger Dinner, the 7th Annual “Ed Moody Award of Excellence” will be presented to Andy Marshall, owner of A. Marshall Hospitality and a Boys & Girls Clubs’ alumnus. The “Ed Moody Award of Excellence” honors the revered Williamson County businessman, who helped establish the Franklin Boys & Girls Club in 1989. Moody co-founded Moody Tire Co. after World War II with his brother, Tom.

Tickets can be purchased at www.BGCMT.org. Individual tickets are $125 each. Tables of eight are also available for $1,000. Each table will include six  adults and two Club kids.
