MLB’s Tony Kemp special guest at Centennial’s December baseball camp

Centennial Cougars alum and former Vanderbilt baseball standout Tony Kemp, now with the Houston Astros, is the special guest for Centennial’s Fundamentals Winter Baseball Camp.

Kemp was drafted by Houston in 2013 part of the lineup for the Astros’ World Series team in 2017. The Home Page caught up with Kemp over the summer to check in on his career.

The Cougars coaching staff and players will be on hand with Kemp to help instruct young baseball players on what they need to know about the game.

The camp is set for Saturday, Dec. 15, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. at Centennial’s gymnasium for ages kindergarten through eighth grade.

It’s recommended any campers bring a bat, glove and tennis shoes.

Those interested can register online ($50 a player, discounts for groups of 10+) or submit payment via mail to “CAC Baseball, 5050 Mallory Lane, Franklin TN, 37067.”
