Franklin Police have confirmed that Austin Watson was arrested Saturday evening for an alleged domestic violence dispute.

Watson, 26, is a left-winger with the Nashville Predators.

On Saturday around 7:20 p.m., police arrested Watson, charging him with domestic assault after they say he pushed his girlfriend during an argument.

The arrest took place at 1410 Murfreesboro Road, a Shell gas station just off I-65.

Police said a citizen flagged down an officer in the vicinity after witnessing the incident.

Watson is currently free on a $4,500 bond, and is due in the Williamson County Courthouse at 1 p.m. on June 28.

Watson was selected by the Predators in the first round of the 2010 NHL Draft, and has played with the team since 2013.
