Grove Virtual Academy, a fully-accredited online K-12 private school, has formed its second homeschool cooperative at Westhaven. Homeschool 101, an introductory meeting for interested parents and students will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, at the Westhaven Resident’s Club.
Open to all students in Williamson County, this online private school cooperative allows students to gain a private school education through K12 International Academy, with the flexibility of learning virtually anywhere, anytime – a major
factor for athletes, performing artists, equestrians, and others with rigorous training or travel schedules.
Grove Virtual Academy’s first homeschool hub was formed at The Jaeckle Centre,
one of the South’s largest equestrian centers, near The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee. At each hub, students meet weekly with their personal success coach who keeps them motivated and progressing toward their academic goals.
The school plans to create “learning hubs” throughout Williamson County to accommodate the county’s rapidly growing demand for homeschool options.
As a fully-accredited NCAA-approved private school, K12 International Academy
graduates have received admissions into highly competitive universities across the nation.
In addition to the academic focus, students create their own projects through Diversity Leadership Project, a local initiative that enhances a student’s college
admissions and scholarship opportunities while building confidence, creating leadership opportunities, and equipping them with conflict resolution skills.
“Homeschool doesn’t have to be a solitary experience nor does a student need to sacrifice educational quality or college admissions and scholarship opportunities,” according to Randall Bedwell, founder of Grove Virtual Academy.
