John Bridgeman, a Nolensville resident and the PGA Director of Golf at Brentwood Country Club, has been named to a high position in the Professional Golfers Association.
Bridgeman is now a member of the PGA’s Board of Directors, having been elected to the spot by his peers last Friday at the 102nd PGA Annual Meeting.
He will oversee District 3 (Tennessee, Gulf States, Alabama/Northwest Florida) as its director for the organization on a three-year term.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to represent my fellow PGA Members, while helping the PGA of America grow in a positive direction,” Bridgeman said in a release.
“We have seen the leadership at the PGA of America show a sincere interest in serving the PGA Member. I believe my experience and passion will play an instrumental role in those decisions. Being nominated and elected to serve on the National Board of Directors alongside these men and women is truly an honor.”
Bridgeman has been with Brentwood Country Club since the late 80s in various roles. Before that, he was with the Cookeville Country Club. He was a golfer for Tennessee Tech in college.
He has spent time in roles of leadership with Tennessee’s section of the PGA since 2010. He is its Honorary President and still is on the Tennessee Golf Foundation Board.
