Police investigate violent carjacking at Concord Corner Market

Brentwood police are investigating a violent carjacking incident which occurred early Monday morning at the Concord Corner Market at 1101 Wilson Pike.

At approximately 4:38 a.m., a woman was approached by a man armed with a handgun while she was outside her vehicle at the fuel pumps. Police say the male suspect struck the victim in the head and then drove away in her vehicle.

The victim was not seriously injured during the incident, police say.

The suspect has been described as a black male in his teens with a thin build, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt. Police say he was armed with a handgun and carrying a backpack.

The stolen vehicle was recovered in East Nashville Monday afternoon where police say it was abandoned.
