Producers of Franklin-made movie ask crew and fans to help with social media campaign
Producers of The World We Make, a feature film made in and around Franklin, are enlisting members of the cast, crew and the guests at the April 7 world premiere showing at the Franklin Theatre in their social media effort as Universal Pictures prepares to release the movie on DVD and on digital platforms.
“We are so excited about the upcoming Universal Pictures DVD and Digital release of THE WORLD WE MAKE on June 4th and we know you are as well,” producers Ken Carpenter, Brian Baugh, Julian Reid, George Escobar, Allan Spiers and Ken Beale wrote on a message to their email list. “We would like to have you participate in the social media promotions if you are so inclined and we have prepared some things to help you post.”
The message contains a Dropbox link to square and wide screen 30- and 60-second trailers for the movie for posting on Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms, and offers sample messages and a schedule for their release in advance of June 4 and beyond, for example:

The messages also include links to to a 10-minute preview of the film, as well as a link to pre-order the full-length movie on iTunes.
“The World We Make” tells the story of Lee (Rose Reid) and Jordan (Caleb Castille). It features scenes as Lee rides horses along the Harpeth River, and Jordan, who lives in town, falls in love with her.
