Rotarians volunteer to ring bell during Red Kettle Challenge

Volunteers from the Brentwood Morning Rotary were on duty Saturday morning at the Salvation Army kettle in front of the Sam’s Club at 3070 Mallory Lane, Franklin.

They were supporting the Salvation Army through the Red Kettle Challenge, and still are accepting donations for the charity.

“Glenn Allison of Tractor Supply got the club excited to ring the bell,” Club member Mark Cleveland said. “Club turn out was amazing!  A great organization, supporting a great cause and having fun. The generosity of our community is really obvious when you’re standing there ringing a bell”

The red kettle drive dates back to 1891.

The drive supports basic human needs for the homeless and poor, including food, shelter, education and training, and disaster services.
