After a few warm days, the forecast for this weekend in Brentwood looks chilly with a high chance of rain on Sunday.
But that won’t stop another busy weekend in Brentwood. Here’s a look at what’s going on:

Creatives Breakfast is monthly breakfast the second Saturday of the month where faith-based creatives to eat together and mingle. There is no program or speakers, just fellowship and getting to know one another.
The breakfast is designed to bring creatives together for networking and new friends. Organizers ask for a minimum $5 donation at the door, which helps take care of the venue and food costs.
Guided Hike Days
When: Saturday, Feb. 9: 10 a.m. — 1 p.m.
Where: Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary, 545 Beech Creek Road S, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027
Owl’s Hill is hosting a day for a guided hikes. Participants will join one of the sanctuary staff members or volunteers on a informative hike through Owl’s Hill. The trails offer opportunities for families, individuals, and small groups to get some exercise on a scenic hike.
Three types of hikes are available, and the last hike leaves at 11 a.m. The different hike options are:
Challenging hike: Recommended for experienced hikers looking to get their heart rate going. This option takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
Moderate hike: Designed to engage with learning experiences at a more leisured pace. This option takes approximately 1- 1.5 hours.
Family hike: Designed for families with young children. This option takes approximately 45 min – 1 hour.

Looking to give your special someone a furry Valentine? This adoption event runs from noon to 3 p.m. and will feature several kittens looking for a “forever home.” The event is hosted by the Friends of Cheatham County Animal Awareness Foundation.
Homeowner Education Class
When: Saturday, Feb. 9: 1 p.m. — 2:30 p.m.

Are you a first-time home buyer with more questions than answers? The Homeowner Education class may be for you.
The main goal of this event is for participants to learn about the home buying process, see if they pre-qualify for home loans and help provide contacts to professionals for assistance in the process.
Rodney Kennedy with Caliber Home Loans will be on site Saturday completing pre-approvals. In order to see if you pre-qualify for a loan, you will need to bring the following items: a valid photo ID, two most recent pay stubs, W-2 forms from 2016 and 2017, a 2017 tax return and two months’ bank statements.
Red Cross Blood Drive
When: Sunday, Feb. 12: 7:30 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
Where: Brentwood United Methodist Church, 309 Franklin Road, Brentwood, Tennessee, 37027
The Red Cross and Brentwood UMC invite you to donate blood to help save lives. There will be two Red Cross bloodmobiles in the church parking lot where you can donate. Donor registration is in the Lobby.
The requirements to donate are as follows: you must be at least 17-years-old; you must weigh at least 110 pounds; you must be in good health; you must not have been asked by the Red Cross not to donate; and you must have a photo ID or your Red Cross donor card.
Pound Rockout Workout Valentine’s Bash
When: Sunday, Feb. 10: 1:30 p.m. — 2:30 p.m.

Fend off the bloated feeling after eating too many Valentine’s chocolates with the Pound Rockout Workout this Sunday. The workout will last for one hour and will feature five different instructors and giveaways. The workout is designed for all fitness levels, so bring a friend.
Box O’ Chocolate Cake Class
When: Sunday, Feb. 10: 2 p.m. — 5 p.m.

Want to surprise someone special this Valentine’s day? Join Sugar Drop TN to create your own box of chocolates cake. In this class you will learn to make this edible heart shaped box from chocolate cake and fill it with chocolate truffles that you will learn to make yourself.
The class will teach techniques like how to easily buttercream a heart-shaped cake and cover it with fondant, using the paneling technique. It will also teach participants to make a gumpaste box top and bow.
The Box O’ Chocolates cake class has a $75 minimum for five students.
