ROUNDUP: What’s going on this week at the Brentwood Library

With winter in the rear view and summer drawing nearer each week, it can be tough to find constructive ways to expel your kids’ energy. The John P. Holt Brentwood Library has after school and weekend programs each week to help with that. Here’s a look at what’s going on this week at the Brentwood Library.

Featured Program of the Week:

Saturday: Crafternoon

1:30 p.m. — Join us for an afternoon craft! This month we’ll be making Yarn Wrapped Rainbows!

Library staff recommends this activity for ages 6-12.

This is a free program, and registration is required.

Monday

Gap Year 101

6:30 p.m. — Gap Year 101 is a free event for teens and their parents to learn about the gap year trend and how it fits into the college planning process.

This is a free program, and registration is required.

Tuesday

Kids Make

4:30 p.m. — Kid’s Make is a chance for kids to explore new tools, fine motor skills, creative problem solving, and self directed play.

Library staff recommends this activity for ages 7 – 12.

This is a free program, and registration is required.

Wednesday

Revive Restorative Yoga

11:00 a.m. — The mission of this class is to provide a compassionate, supportive environment where healing can occur on all levels (mind, body, spirit), through gentle yoga and meditation flow practices.

The cost for this program is $5 per session, and registration is required.

Thursday

Healthy Social

11:30 a.m. — Bring a healthy food to share with the group. Make a copy of the recipe to add to our Dropbox folder of healthy meals. If you purchase a healthy food to bring, please share the details about where you found it.

This is a free program, and registration is required.

Teen Anime Club

4:00pm – Anime, snacks, and fun monthly activities will be provided.

This is a free program, and registration is not required.

Friday

Games Club!

4:30 p.m. — Love board games?! Join us for Games Club!

We’ll provide the games, both classics and new.  

Library staff recommends this event for ages 6-12.

This is a free program, and registration is required.

Saturday

Saturday Story Time

10:30 a.m.  — Join us for songs, a story, and a simple craft.

This is a free program.
