Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza announced today that its location at 7011 Executive Center Dr. in Brentwood will celebrate its three-year anniversary on Saturday, June 16, by hosting a fundraiser in support of The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation.
The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, founded by Olympic Gold Medalist and figure skating analyst Scott Hamilton, is dedicated to changing the future of cancer by funding advanced, innovative research that treats the cancer while sparing the patient. “C.A.R.E.S.” stands for Cancer Alliance for Research, Education and Survivorship.
During the all-day event, Blaze Pizza will offer $5 pizzas (normally around $8) from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 16. For every pizza sold, the restaurant will donate $1 back to the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation.
Blaze Pizza opened its Brentwood location in June 2015 in the CityPark development off Franklin Road.
“We knew we wanted to do something special to celebrate our third anniversary and partnering with the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation was an easy choice,” said Mike Forte, Operating Partner for Blaze Pizza in Brentwood. “I don’t know one person that has not been impacted by cancer, so supporting cancer research and development is something we can all get behind.”
Figure skater Scott Hamilton founded the organization in 2014, after a long history with cancer – including losing his mom and being diagnosed himself. Since then, the organization has supported research that accelerates the advancement of less toxic treatments for isolated cancers and tumors.
“We are excited to partner with Blaze Pizza on this fundraiser and help them celebrate three years in the Brentwood community,” said Karri Morgan, Executive Director of The Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation. “We invite everyone out to get a $5 pizza on Saturday, June 16, and help us raise money to support cancer research for those in need.”
The fundraiser applies to in-restaurant orders only, and is not valid with app, online, phone or delivery orders.
