Scouts’ family activity center entertains kids while they visit loved ones at Morning Pointe

A group of Girl Scouts from Troop 2921 are shown above posing with the family activity center they created at Morning Pointe of Brentwood, and with resident Jane Neely, who was a Girl Scout troop leader herself for many years.

The local Girl Scout troop chose the assisted living and Alzheimer’s memory care community as the site of their Bronze Award community service project, proposing to install a family activity center cubby complete with toys, books, dolls, coloring books, puzzles, and games for children to play with when they come to visit a loved one.

“The center is already a big hit with visiting children!” Morning Pointe life enrichment director Chris Phillips said. “We are so grateful to the Girl Scouts of Troop 2921 for enhancing the experience of our residents and guests with this wonderful addition to our community, and we look forward to partnering with them again in the future.”

Morning Pointe of Brentwood is at 1522 Wilson Pike.
