Leah Pilkington, daughter of Richard Pilkington, is a junior at Brentwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
She is a member of DECA and has worked all year on the campaign, “Be in the Zone, Turn Off Your Phone,” which encourages safe driving in the Brentwood community.
Of her accomplishments, she said she is most proud of coming in 3rd place in State at DECA. Because of this accomplishment, Pilkington and her DECA group will attend the ICOCs at the end of April.
Her favorite class at BHS is entrepreneurship with Mrs. Nease. “Mrs. Nease makes the class so enjoyable and I have learned what it takes to run a business,” she said.
Pilkington said Nease is also one of her biggest role models and inspirations. “She can somehow balance her classes, helping my group for DECA, and still have her own life,” she said.
After graduating from BHS, she plans to attend Belmont University’s nursing school.
