Grant Clunan, son of Kevin and Elizabeth Clunan, is a freshman at Brentwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
He is a member of BHS Choir and enjoys playing golf, riding four wheelers, watching sports, and spending time with friends.
One of his biggest passions is golf. “I enjoy competing with other kids,” Clunan said. “It teaches me how to have patience and be thankful for the good things in life.”
He said he is proud that he has been able to hold his own on the golf and basketball teams as well as maintain A’s in all classes.
His favorite teachers at BHS are Ms. Phillips, who teaches English, and P.E./ Wellness’s Coach Loy. “They are both kind and push me to be my best,” he said.
He said that his top role model is his grandfather. He looks up to him for his selflessness and guidance throughout life.
Ms. Phillips said of Clunan, “Grant is a very diligent, polite and hard working student. He always goes the extra mile in making sure his work is not only correct, but thorough as well. He has been a true pleasure to have in class this year.”
As he is only a freshman, Clunan says he still has numerous options to consider. However, he hopes to pursue college golf.
