Macey Wade, daughter of Belinda and Matt Wade, is a sophomore at Brentwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
She is a member of Youth In Government and the Williamson County Honor Choir, and participates in Mock Trial and BHS musicals. One big highlight for Wade this year was being able to sing the National Anthem at a BHS basketball game.
One of her biggest passions is singing. She said she loves it because it is a way to express herself, “be creative, and have fun.”
Her favorite class at BHS is Choir. She said her love of singing and the class environment puts it at the top of her list. She also said Mrs. Pratt, the instructor, is a huge reason for it being her top pick. “Mrs. Pratt is an amazing teacher and mentor,” she said.
Pratt said of Wade, “I love being Macey’s teacher. She has an incredible work ethic and such a positive attitude. I love how much I’ve seen her grow with her talents, leadership qualities, and personality. I have no doubts we will see great things from Macey.”
Wade said her biggest role models are her parents, Belinda and Matt. “They are always kind and loving, accomplished, and always push me to do my best,” she said.
As she is only a sophomore, Wade is still working on her future career goals. However, she said that she plans to go to college first before pursuing anything else.
