Lexi Cardwell, daughter of Sherry and Matt Cardwell, is a senior at Ravenwood High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
She is a member of JROTC, Girl Scouts, and the Swim Team. Cardwell has made huge accomplishments in swimming; She is an RHS Swim 4×100 relay record holder and a state finalist all four years of high school.
Cardwell said that biggest passions outside of school are cooking and baking. “With such a busy schedule, it’s a great relaxation method for me and it’s been a great way to connect with friends and family.”
Her favorite class at RHS is JROTC. She said it’s her favorite because it’s provided her with opportunities and friendships she otherwise wouldn’t have.
She said her biggest role models are her parents, Sherry and Matt. “… they’re really supportive of my goals and dreams,” she said.
JROTC’s Chief Hayes said of Cardwell, “Parker ‘Lexi’ Cardwell is an amazing leader, an outstanding citizen, and a true mentor to everyone she works with. She has coordinated and organized multiple parades, service projects, and other events this year and all of them have been amazing.”
After graduating, she hopes to go to college to study International Studies. After college, she would like to join the Airforce.
